The General Court of the European Union on July 3 annulled sanctions imposed in 2012 by the European Commission on the National Iranian Tanker Company (NITC). With sanctions removed, the Kharg Terminal will see international tankers returning.

A tanker is berthed at Dock T in the north of the island, which can berth tankers with less than 300, 000 tons of capacity

Dock T can berth Very Large Crude Carreir up to 320,000 tons of capacity

Azarpad Dock in the west of the island can berth tankers capable to load 300,000 tons of crude oil.

This dock is capable of berthing Ultra Large Crude Carrier with 550,000 tons of capacity.
