Setting Up Mini Power Plants A Priority

TEHRAN Sep. 11 (Shana)--Ministry of Energy has setting up mini power plants as a top priority in its agenda, managing director of Tavanir Co, Homayoon Haeri said.

He further noted small-sized power plants can produce more than 500 megawatts of electricity each day and Tavanir Co, a subsidiary of ministry of energy, welcomes their establishment because it plans to deploy all the existing potentials for generating electricity.

Haeri called rising capacity of power plants for generating electricity desirable expressing hope the company achieve its targets as planned.

On meeting power plants needs to fuel in winter, Haeri said the volume of gas delivery to power plants is going to be increased in winter.
