Refinery to Double Output

TEHRAN Nov 05 (Shana)--Kermanshah Oil Refinery is to double its capacity to 40,000 b/d following quantitative and qualitative enhancement plan, its managing-director said.

Mohammad Jamshidi said the first step in the project would be to cut fuel oil production by 23%.

He said that FCC and vacuum distillation units will also be established.

In the second stage, he said, fuel oil production will be cut by 16% while bitumen blowing unit will be built.

He added that the third step will involve 5% cut in fuel oil production and the establishment of RFCC unit.

The refinery is currently producing 100,000 liters a day of liquefied gas, 750,000 l/d of regular gasoline, 450,000 l/d of kerosene, 750,000 l/d of gasoil and 1.3 ml/d of fuel oil.

Pentane, hexane and jet fuel are products of this refinery.
