The National Iranian Gas Company’s (NIGC) spokesman Majid Boujarzadeh made the remarks noting daily gas delivery to large industries stood at 45 mcm during similar period last year.
Boujarzadeh further noted that daily gas delivery to power plants rose as well hitting 90 mcm on average during the mentioned month while the figure stood at 22 mcm a day during similar month last year.
“Daily gas consumption by household and commercial sectors as well as small industries edged down in Dey this year hitting 462 mcm, down by 8 percent month on month”, he said.
NIGC figures also show that daily gas supply to power plants over the first 10 months of current Iranian calendar year, since March 21 2014 has reached 44 billion cubic meters, up by 34 percent against similar period last year.
During the last 24 hours, gas consumption by household sector reached 430 mcm, up by 110 mcm against similar period last year.
