Assaluyeh Petchems to Earn Iran $13b

TEHRAN March 03(Shana)--Iran is set to gain nearly $13 billion from petrochemical products supplied by the second phase of Assaluyeh in the coming years, a deputy head of National Petrochemical Company said.

Mohammad Hassan Payvandi said 33 million tons of petrochemicals are to be sold from Assaluyeh in the coming years with each ton worth more than $400.

He said that full startup of petrochemical projects in Assaluyeh are to add more than 40 million tons to Iran’s petrochemical output.

Payvandi said Iran’s Minister of Petroleum Bijan Namdar Zangeneh has called for boosting the country’s revenue from petrochemicals from $20 billion to $40 billion.
