Automated Sulfur Warehouse Launched

TEHRAN April 12(Shana)--The first cargo of sulfur is planned to be loaded from a newly launched automated sulfur warehouse located in Pars Special Economic Energy Zone (PSEEZ).

Managing director of PSEEZ Mehdi Yousefi made the remarks adding launching the automated warehouse is a great step forward in the path of mitigating the risk of environmental concerns in PSEEZ.

He noted the companies located in the zone are expected to abide by environmental requirements in the area reducing the risks of industrial activities by observing technical aspects and environmental standards.

According to PSEEZ’s managing director launching automated sulfur warehouse not only will result in abandoning open top warehouses but will make traffic of trucks with sulfur load in the zone unnecessary.

Stating that the warehouse has been designed and built by domestic experts, he said the warehouse includes three 40 thousand tons storage sections.

According to him, the facility provides the opportunity for vessels to load one thousand tons of sulfur per hour by docking in PSEEZ’s shore which in turn will reduce loading time from around 12 to 15 days to just two days.
