“The second phase of Kavian Petrochemical Plant is becoming ready for startup soon and in case of receiving feedstock it will come on-stream in the first half of the current [calendar] year,” Marzieh Shah-Daei said.
She said that Kavian plant would be able to produce more than 2 million tons of ethylene a year.
It would be fed by ethane supplied by phases 15&16 of the giant offshore South Pars gas field in southern Iran.
