Bampour Power Plant Takes 74 mcm of Gas

TEHRAN April 14(Shana)--Gas consumption by Bampour power plant in Sistan-o-Baluchestan province hit more than 74 million cubic meters during the past Iranian calendar year to 20th March 2015.

Managing director of Sistan-o-Baluchestan province’s Gas Company, Mohammad Hassan Tehrani, made the remarks in an interview with Shana, adding the province used as much as 81 mcm of gas last year of which 74.348 mcm were used by Bampour power plant.

He said: "Household sector’s gas consumption stood at 6.4 mcm and CNG stations took 390 thousand cubic meters last year."

“Sistan-o-Baluchestan province’s gas consumption rose by 13 times year on year”, he said.

Last year, Iranshahr town and its countryside joined beneficiaries of gas services in the province by implementation of 1.474 meters of gas distribution pipeline, which connected the town to the national gas network.

In total, Sistan-o-Baluchestan Gas Company implemented 29.145 meters of gas pipeline across the province last year, he concluded.
