Tabriz Petchem Output to Double

TEHRAN May 23(Shana)--Production from Tabriz Petrochemical Plant is set to double as a new ethylene pipeline is being laid out towards the facility, the plant’s manager said.

Ali-Reza Sadri said Tabriz Petrochemical Plant’s output would reach 700,000 tons a year as West Ethylene Pipeline is being extended from Miandoab to Tabriz in northwestern Iran.

He said the 154-kilometer pipeline would be constructed in two years with a budget allocation of IRR 2,150 billion.

West Ethylene Pipeline, under way from Assaluyeh in southern Iran to Tabriz is 2,450 kilometers long. It would feed a number of petrochemical plants on this route.
