TEHRAN, Dec. 09 (Shana) – Finnish minister of foreign trade and development says Iran abounds with investment opportunities for Finland, expressing hope that Tehran's nuclear deal will be a beginning for expanding mutual relations with Iran.

Addressing the first Iran-Finland Business Seminar held in Tehran on December 8, Lenita Toivakka hailed Iran as a significant country in the Middle East Region, and voice her country's readiness to strengthen relationships with Iran.

"Iran is an important business and political partner for Finland and today we need to establish relations and make interactions with the Middle East region more than any other time," she said.

"We hope sustainable peace and stability will be established in the region by boosting relations with European countries," she added.

Referring to a historical flashback to long-standing economic ties between Iran and Finland, Toivakka said her country is looking forwards to strengthening its commercial relations with the Islamic Republic of Iran.

She said her two-day visit provides excellent opportunities for Iranian and Finnish companies to exchange ideas and establish new networks as well as to strengthen already existing relationships.
