SPGC Gas Output at 102bcm

TEHRAN, April 27 (Shana) –- South Pars Gas Complex (SPGC)'s gas output stood at 102 billion cubic meters by the end of the previous Iranian calendar year, which ended on March 20, up 21% year-on-year.

Managing director of SPGC told Shana that over 123.5 bcm of natural gas was extracted from the offshore South Pars gas field, which Iran shares with Qatar, over the course of the previous Iranian calendar year, up 15% year-on-year.

Masoud Hassani said SPGC has reduced the time needed for its overhaul which led to the company's raised gas output by 2.4 bcm last year, fetching more than $280m for the state-run complex.

He further said the company is committed to generation of value from the gas it recovers from the gas field while offering side products.
