Inking a deal for import of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) from Iran was the first step forward boost of cooperation between Tehran and Jakarta and a turning point in the history of two states ties, the official added.
Sudirman said that talks between National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC) and Pertamina, the Indonesian state-owned oil and natural gas corporation on joint investment has been already started.
Indonesia on Monday inked a deal with Iran for purchase of 80,000 metric tons of LPG this year.
During a meeting with Sudirman on Monday, Zangeneh said Iran has opened all the doors to cooperation with Indonesia, adding, "Iran and Indonesia share similar stances in OPEC and global oil markets."
"Iran has opened all the doors for cooperation with Indonesian state and private companies and they can join energy projects in areas such as natural gas, petroleum products, and petrochemicals as well as joint investments in refining and development of oilfields," Zangeneh added.
