AEOI Offers RIPI Centrifuges for Upstream Research

TEHRAN, May 31 (Shana) – The Atomic Energy Organization of Iran has sealed a deal with Research Center of Petroleum Industry (RIPI) for supplying domestically manufactured centrifuges for separation of oil from stone in RIPI's laboratories.

Addressing a meeting with Ali Akbar Salehi, head of AEOI, Hamid Reza Katouzian, RIPI's head, said the centrifuge will be used for tracing oil currents in underground stones and separating of crude oil from stones.

He said RIPI needs more centrifuges which will be gradually supplied by AEOI.

Katouzian said prior to the deal, RIPI had to supply centrifuges for its upstream studies from foreign manufacturers and this is the first time that AEOI, as a strong domestic organization, has initiated a deal with Iran's petroleum industry.

"RIPI is honored to consume Iranian-made centrifuges to enjoy the talent, wisdom and proficiency of AEOI exports and scientists in its practices and would welcome further contacts with AEOI," said Katouzian.
