First Long-Term Petchem Deal with Downstream Industries at IME

TEHRAN, June 26 (Shana) -- Tondgouyan Petrochemical Plant has signed the first long-term deal with downstream industries at Iran Mercantile Exchange, managing director of IME said.

Hamed Soltani Nejad said sealing long-term deals between petrochemical plants and their customers is one of the things often called for by agents in the IME beside facilitating deals and regulating prices by the market.

"To this effect, the deal was struck on Saturday after a series of negotiations brokered by IME," he said.

He said long-term deals encompass 6 to 12-year time spans by which suppliers are required to continue presenting items to customers at IME within the deal's framework.
