Iranian Heavyweights Say Ready to Invest in Jusk Oil Terminal

TEHRAN, June 29 (Shana) -- Leading Iranian energy companies have indicated readiness to invest in Jusk Oil Terminal, a senior Iranian shipper said.

Speaking to Shana, Mohammad Kazem Niknam, a member of the board of directors at National Iranian Tanker Company (NITC), said a number of leading domestic companies have voiced their readiness to invest in the oil terminal.

The project is planned to be developed jointly by domestic and foreign companies.

The project was proposed by Iranian President Hassan Rouhani during his visit to the southern province of Hormuzgan and was endorsed by Minister of Petroleum Bijan Zangeneh.

The project entails laying down a 2,200km pipeline and construction of storage tanks with a capacity of 20 million barrels of oil at the terminal.

Niknam said investors are being chosen for developing the project, adding the administration is serious in developing the project.
