Director General of the Crisis Management Department of Kermanshah Governorate Office Reza Mahmoudian thanked the Islamic Republic Red Crescent Society, firefighters and staff of the Bistoon Thermal Power Plant and Petrochemical Company for their contribution to the successful operation.
Mahmoudian said the fire was put off at about 17:00 pm on Friday.
He said the cause of the incident is under scrutiny.
Meanwhile, Deputy Minister of Petroleum and Managing Director of National Iranian Petrochemical Company Marzieh Shahdaie for her part thanked all those responsible for the successful performance.
Deputy Minister of Petroleum and Managing Director of National Iranian Petrochemical Company Marzieh Shahdaie on Saturday presided over a session to survey the successful containing of fire in the storage tank of the Bistoon Petrochemical Company on Friday July 29.
Deputy Head of the Civil Defense Organization for Energy Affairs General Motiee, Managing Director of Civil Defense Office in Kermanshah Province Kiumars Rashidi, and Head of the Crisis Headquarters in Kermanshah Province Reza Mahmoudi were present in the meeting.
Head of Bistoon Petrochemical Company Karam and Head of the HSE Department of the Facility and Commander of the fire extinguishing operations Kiakie were also present in the meeting.
Shadaie and Director of the National Petrochemical Company Mohammad-Ali Bosaqzadeh also provided the meeting with a report on the measures taken in that connection.
Fire broke out in one of the storage tanks of the Company on Friday but left no damage or toll.
Bistoon Petrochemical Company manufactures and markets chemicals and petrochemicals including linear alkyl benzene and heavy alkylate.
The company also constructs and operates plants for production of petrochemicals. It lies on Karbala Highway and in vicinity of Kagieh village and 15kms east of Kermanshah.
