Capacity for Gas Injection into Shourijeh Storage Tank Up 35%

TEHRAN, Aug 29 (Shana) – Caretaker of Shourijeh Storage Facility at Shahid Hasheminejad Gas Refining Company Rahim Vaqari says the capacity of the compressors of the refinery to inject gas to the facility has risen by 35 percent.

Vaqari told Shana that the project was commissioned per policies of the Resistant Economy and based on the world climate deals and Iran's commitment to lower carbon emission in the facility.

Vaqari said the project lowered fuel consumption of turbines up to 28 million cubic meters in eight months of the injection seasons.

He said in the first five months of last year, 722 million cubic meters of gas were injected to the reservoir, a figure showing more than one billion cubic meters to the overall capacity in the same period the year before.
