Zangeneh, Novak to meet in Tehran for Oil Talks

TEHRAN, Dec. 10 (Shana) -- Russian Energy Minister Alexander Novak is to meet Iranian Minister of Petroleum Bijan Zangeneh in Tehran to discuss expansion of oil cooperation between Tehran and Moscow.

Novak, as the Russian head of Iran-Russia joint economic commission session, will visit Tehran and meet with Zangeneh as of Tuesday.

The two sides are expected to initiate serious talks on oil cooperation. 

After implementation of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) and cancellation of sanctions, Iran is expected to have fruitful cooperation with Russian companies in energy sector.

The 13th Iran-Russia Joint Economic Cooperation Commission session is to be held in Tehran from December 11-12. Mahmoud Vazei will by the Iranian head of the Commission. 

 

Iran and Russia have planned to raise volume of their trade to more than two billion dollars and according to Russian Ambassador to Tehran Levan Dzhagaryan it is not a far access goal and can be met.
