Iran Oil Output at 3.9 mbd: Minister

TEHRAN, Jan. 25 (Shana) -- Iranian Minister of Petroleum Bijan Zangeneh says Iran's crude oil output is at 3.9 million barrels per day.

Speaking on the sidelines of a government cabinet meeting on Wednesday, the official said Iran is now pumping 3.9 million barrels of oil per day.

He said a heads of agreement (HoA) has been signed between the National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC) and a consortium comprising Total, the CNPC and Petropars companies for developing phase 11 of the supergiant South Pars Gas Field.

He said another HoA has been signed with Persian Oil and Gas Company for developing Yaran, Maroon and Koupal fields.

The official also said that a tender will be held presently for development of Azadegan Oilfield.

Zangeneh denied Iran having stored crude oil in floating tankers, saying only gas condensate has been stored on water which will be sold by the calendar yearend.
