TEHRAN (PIN) – Regarding the growing success in the fuel efficiency programs driven by new sophisticated management methods, it is expected a 25% increase in industrial energy efficiency by 2024, managing director of the Fuel Efficiency Organization said.

According to PIN, attending the First National Fistival of Practical Innovations in the Field of Energy, Abbas Kazemi continued statistics show the consumption rate of energy carriers in the country surpassed 1292.69mm barrels of oil equivalent in 2006, worth $47.5bn, with a 45 percent increase comparing to a decade ago.

Kazemi went on a part of the figure within this time related to the population growth, economic development of the country and the rise in the public welfare and the other cause was the lack of proper consumption pattern.

A day-long NPIF was held today in Tehran to open a window on fuel efficiency programs of the country and reviewing the main strategies produced in this field.
