TEHRAN (PIN) – Accompanying Iran"s president, the Oil Minister Gholam-Hossein Nozari here Saturday morning returned to Tehran from Ankara where Iranian delegation in a two-day visit discussed many issues with Turkish side.

According to PIN, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad in his visit to Turkey on Thursday held talks with Turkish president Abdullah Gul on the related issues.

The two sides issued a joint statement stressing their determination for further cooperation in energy and other issues.

On this basis, two sides placed emphasis on the finalization of the gas and electricity agreements signed in 2007 and 2008 between the two countries.

Ahmadinejad and Gul also witnessed the public signing of a series of agreements for cooperation in anti-drug efforts, environmental matters, transportation, tourism and culture.

President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad expressed hope that Iran and Turkey will expand their relations in energy and transportation areas.
