Increase of Iran Gas Export Volume to Turkey

TEHRAN (PIN) - The Gas Transfer Operations manager of region-8 said that the volume of Iranian gas exports to Turkey will increase to 22,000,000 cubic meters per day in the next few days.

According to PIN, Mahmood Loghmani emphasized that the repair and renovation operations of the Bazargan gas measurement station (on the border of Iran and Turkey) had been successful and added: "Considering the restart of Iranian gas exports to Turkey from Friday, it is predicted that the volume of gas transfer to this country will increase as mentioned.
 
He also said: "The transfer of 1 billion cm of gas per day to Armenia from the same region began in one month ago and at present a volume of 40,000 cm of natural gas is transferred every hour from the Noordooz borderline station.

The Gas Transfer Operations manager of region-8 said: "Natural gas swap from region-8 takes place from Nakhjavan which is another operation from the region and at present about 1 mln cm of gas is transferred daily to the Republic of Azerbaijan from the Astara border.

According to Loghmani, 85% of the gas imported to Iran is through the Jolfa border from the Nakhjavan Republic swap operations contract.

Region-8 gas transfer operations covers the following provinces: East Azerbaijan, Ardabil, West Azerbaijan and parts of Kurdistan, Zanjan and Gilan provinces. 3,718 kilometres of gas transfer pipelines have been installed within this operations region while 33 compressors, nine pressure boosting stations and six gas utilization centers required by the mentioned provinces are in use.
