Azadegan Oilfield Wells No. 17, 18 Output to Kicks off

TEHRAN (PIN) – Wells No. 17 and 18 of Azadegan oilfield have been put into operation to produce 3,500 barrels together a day.

According to PIN, they were excavated in last July. Wells number 19, 20 and 21 excavation has been kicked off in last month.

Located 80 km away from Ahwaz, Azadegan is one the world's biggest oil fields with 33 billion barrels of oil. Oil exploitation – 20,000 barrels - started in 2007.

It is planned to increase its production to 30,000 barrels a day. Exploited oil in Azadegan oilfield transmits through a 10 and 12 inch pipe-lines.

Preserving the environment, some measures during the drilling of wells in the field have been taken.
