According to Shana correspondent, the president described the budget for the Iranian year 1389 (starts 21 March 2010) as transparent, cohesive, flexible, and stipulated that reducing dependence on oil revenues, increasing non-oil revenues, and special attention to industry, agriculture and housing sectors be among the important features of the proposed budget.
Mr. Ahmadinejad also said the government and the parliament participated in drafting the budget and extressed hope that the bill, which aims to resolve the country's problems and provide good conditions for growth and development, ratified by cooperation from all the lawmakers.
