The statistics published by the National Iranian Oil Products Distribution Company (NIOPDC) show that total gasoline consumption in the week ending 29 January amounted to 437 million and 600 thousand liters, down 700 thousand liters from a week earlier.
the most amount of daily gasoline consumption in the week was on Thursday (28 January) with 67/8 million liters and the minimum on Friday (29 January) with 56/7 million liters.
Diesel consumption
Total diesel consumption in the aforementioned week stood at 708 million liters down 17/3 million liters from a week earlier.
Daily diesel consumption averaged 101 million and 142 thousand liters in the week.
The highest level of diesel consumption during the week was on Thursday (28 January) while the lowest level was on Friday, respectively at 114 million liters and 82/1 million liters.
Gasoline consumption in Tehran amounted to 89/6 million liters, up 1/8 million liters from a week earlier. Daily gasoline consumption in Tehran averaged 12/8 million liters.
In addition, Tehran consumed 48/7 million liters of diesel in the week ending 29 January. Daily diesel consumption in the city averaged 6/957 million liters.
