Iran's industrial units consume 6 bcm of natural gas

Tehran (Shana) – Iran's main industrial units have consumed more than six billion cubic meters of natural gas in the last three month, up 20 percent when compared with corresponding period last year.

 According to National Iranian Gas Company data, during the last three Iranian months, from Azar to Bahman 1989(22 November 2009 to 19 February 2010), main industrial units consumed 6/1 billion cubic meters of natural gas, while their consumption were 5/15 billion cubic meters in the similar period last year.

In addition, natural gas consumption by the units over Bahman (the month ending 19 February) averaged 70/3 million cubic meters per day, up about 20 percent in comparison with corresponding period last year, which averaged 58/7 mcm/d.

The aforementioned units consumed 58/8 million cubic meters in Bahman 1387 (21 January to 19 February 2008).
