National Iranian Oil Products Distribution Company (NIOPDC) official data shows that daily gasoline consumption averaged 62/ 814 million liters in the week ending 30 Bahman (19 February) while daily diesel consumption averaged 96 million liters.
Total gasoline consumption in the week ending 19 February stood at 439/7 million liters, down 12 million liters in comparison with the previous week.
In addition, the data shows that maximum gasoline consumption during the week was on Thursday (18 January) with 66/8 million liters while the minimum consumption was on Friday (19 January) with 59/7 million liters.
12 Farvardin (1 April) maintains the gasoline consumption record in current Iranian calendar year 1388 (started on 21 March 2009).
Diesel consumption
Totoa diesel consumption in the country in the week ending 19 February amounted to 672 million liters, down 48/7 million liters when compared with the previous week.
Based on the data, average daily diesel consumption in the week reached to 96 million liters.
Diesel registered the highest rate of consumption during the week on Thursday (18 February) with 121/2 million liters and the lowest on Saturday (13 february) with 81/9 million liters.
Tehran consumption
Tehran's total gasoline consumption in the aforementioned week stool at 74/7 million liters, down 17/5 million liters when compared with the previous week. Tehran's Gasoline consumption averaged 10/67 million liters a day in the week ending 19 February.
Tehran's total diesel consumption during the week stood at 45/2 million liters with a daily average of 6/457 million liters.
