He said up to now $300 million have been invested for the implementation of the project.
In an exclusive interview with Shana, Zirakchianzade said: after the early exploitation of the project, other developmental wells will be drilled and production will be increased.
He remarked that Hengam oil field development has been done in a very short time, which in comparison with similar projects not only in Iran but also in the region, is unprecedented. According to Zirakchianzade early next year (starts on 21 March 2010), two jackets will be installed in the field.
Calling one of the Hengam oil field pipelines unique, Managing director of the Iran's Offshore Oil Company said: 30 km of the 70 km pipeline length linking Hengam oil field to Bandar Abbas passes under the seabed.
Noting that this is the country's longest pipeline passing under the seabed, Zirakchianzade said that construction of the pipeline is underway. He went on to say that, construction of the pipeline demands advanced technologies that Iranian companies have in their hands.
Stating that onshore facilities for separation and refining have been built in Qeshm Island, managing director of the Iran's Offshore Oil Company said: the facilities have been designed in such a way that are capable to increase refining capacity of the facilities up to 100 thousands barrels a day.
