Tehran (Shana) - The South Pars phases 15 and 16 drilling process is desirable and by installation a drilling rig on Phase 16 jacket, drilling of developmental wells on the phase will be started concurrent with the beginning of the new Iranian year on 21 March, an oil official said.

In an interview with Shana, the South Pars phases 15 and 16 director Abolghasem Nobakhti said: Kish Global Petrotec Company as the contractor of drilling in the South Pars phase 16 has concluded a contract with a Chinese company to get the rig in the phase 16 location.

The drilling rig named Cosel Force, will be transferred to the South Pars phase 16 in the next two weeks and after installation will start drilling.

He stipulated that the phase 15 drilling rig has been transferred to the South Pars phase15 location in early February and has started its work.
