gas processing by Fajrejam refinery hits 9.850 billion cm

TEHRAN 21 Aug (Shana): Managing director of the Fajrejam gas processing plant says the plant has processed 9.850 billion cubic meters of gas in the first four months of the current Iranian calendar year, 1389 (started on 21 March 2010), adding the volume has been injected to the national network gas pipeline.

Noting that the gas has been taken from Nar, Kangan and recently from 6, 7 and 8 phases of the South Pars gas field, engineer Rahim Eslami said that during the mentioned period, 186 million cubic meters of gas has been received through a 42 inch diameter gas pipeline from Assaluyeh.

On gas liquids production, Eslami said that during the first four months of the year 1389 ( 21 March 2010 – 22 July 2010), the plant succeeded to produce 3.720 million of gas liquids which transferred to Siraf Island in the Persian Gulf and was exported to targeted destinations.

According to the managing director remarks, Fajrejam plant has also produced 460 tons of propane over the mentioned period.

Since starting operations, the processing plant has refined and injected 500 billion cubic meters of gas to the national grid for domestic use andr export.

Fajrejam gas processing plant has the capacity to process 110 million cubic meters of gas each day operated with full capacity last year (21 March 2009 – 20 March 2010).
