Fuel Supply Expedited at Shahid Rajaei Port

TEHRAN -- With private investment in oil terminal in the Persian Gulf docks of Shahid Rajaei Port, Bandar Abbas, Hormuzgan province, the capacity to supply fuel to commercial vessels witnessed a 24-percent growth during March-September this year.

Iran Daily said that the companies Bana Gostar Karaneh, Shipping Technical and Engineering Services and Persian Gulf have begun constructing three fuel supply terminals in the Persian Gulf docks.

The move is aimed at upgrading Iranian ports in the Persian Gulf, serving ships which use the Straits of Hormuz and increasing foreign exchange revenues earned from value-added of fuel-supplying services.

During March-September, Bana Gostar Karaneh Company supplied 65,400 tons of furnace oil and 6,420 tons of diesel for commercial trips during the period recording an average monthly growth of 24 percent.

Persian Gulf docks, which have 11 jetties and 320 hectares of docks and wharfs, is located in Shahid Rajaei Port. Persian Gulf docks plan to increase its share in fuel-supplying, export and transit of oil products in Persian Gulf.
