TEHRAN -- Constructing six pressure boosting stations along the third cross-country gas supply pipeline has been completed 65 percent.

The managing director of Oil Industries Engineering Company (OIEC) told Petroenergy Information Network that OIEC had finished designing the stations on the third cross-country pipeline and had delivered up to 60 percent of their equipment. Nasser Towfiqi stated that Nourabad station would be delivered when construction operations were complete by winter. He mentioned participation in the implementation of phases 9 and 10 of South Pars Project as the biggest underway project by OIEC and added that basic design of the phases was over and leveling and excavation operations were underway that would be complete in 3-4 months. He stated that implementation of phases 9 and 10 of South Pars Project would need 300 specialized manpower during the heat of operations. "The contract for both phases, worth 1.6 billion dollars, has been signed with a consortium comprising Oil Industries Engineering Company, the South Korean LG Company and Offshore Installations Company," he said. Towfiqi noted that OIEC has finished NGL projects about 9 months ago, adding, "We have faced no problem for NGL production which indicates engineering capacities inside the country."
