ASSALOUYEH (PIN) – South Pars Gas Complex says the complex exported 36000 tons of granule sulfur to China this month, SPGC PR quoted as saying.

According to PIN, Mohammad-Reza Joulaei said the product was loaded from the Pars quay of Assalouyeh and exported in two phases to China.

He added in the first phase 22089 tons and in the second phase 13216 tons of sulfur produced by the refineries of units 1, 2 and 3 were exported.

"Each unit of South Pars Complex produces 200 tons of sulfur a day and in case of full production of all 5 units, the capacity will rise to 800 to 1000 tons a day," he was quoted as saying.

SPGC, Iran"s largest gas producer, meets over 35 percent of the country"s demand.
