According to PIN, on the sidelines of the 14th International Oil, Gas and Petrochemical Exhibition (Iran Oil Show), Mr. Alavi told reporters: "Our companies are capable producing more than 80 percent of the country's needs on CNG and gas-powered vehicles equipments."
Speaking at a sideline conference held in the 14th Oil Show, Alavi said that from the outset of the previous Iranian calendar year (March 20, 2008) over 20,000 single fuel vehicles have been equipped with dual-powered systems so far by related centers and auto-makers.
The official further stated that the company has planned to equip more than 25 percent of the country's cars (5 million) with gas-powered systems or dual-powered systems by 2024. This needs the development of infrastructures and increase in CNG stations.
