TEHRAN (Shana): National Iranian Oil Company managing director says the share of domestically manufactured equipments in upstream sector has grown 4 times in last 4 years when compared with the similar period before it.

Addressing the first exhibition to show domestically manufactured equipments’s capabilities on Sunday, NIOC managing director, Ahmad Qalebani said: timely providing of the needed equipments plays a big role in lasting production. 

He added that lack of proper equipments harms oil industry’s production operations and could impact on economic, social, cultural and political situation of the country.

The first exhibition to show the domestically manufactured equipments for the South Pars gas field project kicked off today morning at Olympic Hotel in Tehran.

At inauguration ceremony of the exhibition, deputy engineering and construction at Pars Oil and Gas Company said that the share of the domestically made equipments in the South Pars has increased from 32 to more than 60 percent. He added that a large number of imported equipments are now being produced by local manufacturers.

In this exhibition, those Iranian made devices that have been replaced their foreign made samples have been shown, so there is the possibility for contractors to buy the needed equipments through holding meetings with manufactureres. The exhibition lasts until Monday.
