addressing at his introduction ceremony as new minister of petroleum, Qasemi said development of South Pars gas field and those fields shares with Iraq are among the most important steps should be taken by the oil industry.
Qasemi expressed dissatisfaction with the rate of progress of development of shared oil and gas fields adding important actions should be taken in this regard.
He continued: Based on my knowledge of the ministry of petroleum capabilities, the ministry faces no deficiency to develop the fields.
Qasemi noted that level of production was another important topic in his agenda stressing on strong presence in international scene and paying attention to strategic issues of the oil industry as the other his priorities as minister of petroleum.
Empathy, sharing views and paying attention to human resources are the most important prerequisites for realization of oil industry targets the minister of petroleum said adding today the oil industry benefits from experienced managers and obliged skillful persons.
According to the official well-being, integrity, quality, quickness and economical view to oil industry projects are among the important indicators that must be respected in the ministry of petroleum.
He expressed hope that through cooperation with oil industry staff the abovementioned indicators to be noticed as the important guidelines of the development.
‘We will hold meetings to examine working issues, executive view points and steps needed to be taken by the subsidiaries, especially four main companies of the ministry of petroleum, to implement the projects.
Qasemi thanked Mohammad Aliabadi who served as caretaker minister of petroleum for nearly past two months and appreciated the efforts by the previous ministers of petroleum.
he said that during the ruling of the ninth and tenth cabinets headed by Ahmadinejad as president important decisions had been made in oil industry mainly on development of the South Pars gas field expressing hope to be able to materialize Iranian peoples wishes through cooperation with all managers of the oil industry and guidance of the president.
He also thanked lawmakers for giving him vote of confidence as minister of petroleum. Qasemi was approved August 3 as minister of petroleum by parliament by acquiring 216 votes out of 264 votes of the present lawmakers.
