TEHRAN Aug 10 (Shana): The number of CNG fueling stations climbed to 1720 as of today by launching four new CNG fuelling stations leading to rising distribution capacity of CNG to 1.775 million normal cubic meters per hour.

The lasts data of the National Iranian Oil Products Distribution Company (NIOPDC) show that the number of nozzles has also reached 9.639 and the number of CNG burning vehicles surpassed 2.5 million.

 The number of CNG fueling stations is scheduled to rise to 2100 up to the end of current Iranian calendar year on 20th March 2012.

Currently about 17 million cubic meters of compressed natural gas are being delivered to dual fuel vehicles that could be increased to 34 million cubic per day.
