TEHRAN Oct 30 (Shana): Gasoline consumption that was in the process of declining in recent weeks ramped up during the first week of Iranian month of Aban ending on 28th October.

Statistics released by the National Iranian Oil Products Distribution Company (NIOPDC) showed that during the week ending on October 28, gasoline consumption rose by 5.5 percent reaching 61.5 million liters per day.

Total gasoline consumption stood at 427.8 million liters per day up by 22.5 million liters when compared with a week earlier.

Despite gasoline, gasoil consumption continued downward process. Gasoil consumption averaged 85.5 million liters per day during the mentioned week while total consumption reached 599.1 million liters down by 90.3 (13 percent) week on week.

NIOPDC’s statistics show that total fuel oil consumption stood at 276.9 million liters up by 50.1 million liters (22 percent) against a week earlier while kerosene consumption declined reaching 137.3 million liters down by 2.5 million liters week on week.
