TEHRAN Nov 11 (Shana): Refining capacity of Bandar Abbas oil refinery will rise to 345 thousand barrels per day as of next Iranian month Azar beginning 21 November.

Managing director of Bandar Abbas Oil Refining Company Hashem Namvar made the remarks adding after completion of the first phase of the plan, refining capacity of Bandar Abbas oil refinery has edged up by 15 thousand barrels per day since the beginning of Iranian month of Ordibehesht (20 April) hitting 335 thousand barrels per day.

He continued that the second phase of the plan is underway adding refining capacity of the oil refinery’s number 1 distillation unit will rise by 10 thousand barrels per day as of 21 November reaching 345 thousand barrels per day.

‘Completion of this valuable plan during ‘the year of National Production’ will raise the refinery’s revenue more than 530 thousand dollars per day and 195 million dollars per year’, the official noted adding after implementation of the first phase facility’s income rose by 310 thousand dollars per day and 113 million dollars per year.

Alluding to rising production capacity of oil products, Namvar said: By implementation of the first phase, production capacity of gasoline has soared 200 thousand liters, heavy naphtha 800 thousand liters and gasoil 1.3 million liters per day.

According to Namvar upon completion of the second phase, total gasoline production capacity of the refinery will go up by 300 thousand liters, heavy naphtha by 1.2 million liters and gasoil by 2.2 million liters per day.

Conservation in electricity use, saving 2.5 tons of fuel per year and providing proper intake for boosting gasoline production capacity are among the other achievements of the plan. Located south of the country Bandar Abbas oil refinery produces 20 percent of the country's oil products.
