TEHRAN Feb 02 (Shana): Islamic republic of Iran will become a gasoline exporting country next year, Iranian minister of petroleum, Rostam Qasemi said.

Speaking at inauguration ceremony of a gasoline-making unit at Abadan oil refinery, Qasemi said: The country’s oil industry has witnessed big developments among them launching gasoline-making unit of Abadan oil refinery.

launching projects like this by reliance on Iranian capabilities has nullified using gasoline as one of the enemy’s leverages for putting pressure against the country, Qasemi said adding our advancements have led to leaving behind sanctions.  

He further said: By launching the project the country no longer needs to import gasoline.

Referring to the government’s efforts in implementation of Mehr Mandegar (Lasting Kindness) projects, Qasemi said that more than 800 Mehr Mandegar projects would come online up to the end of current administration tenure, in summer next year.

Mehr Mandegar projects were an excellent initiative came into force by the government and could accelerate development of the projects in order to come on line as soon as possible.

Praising Iranian experts and innovators efforts in launching gasoline making unit of Abadan oil refinery, Qasemi reported of donating 200 billion dollars to Abadan municipality for development of the city.

By launching the new step of gasoline making, Abadan oil refinery’s daily gasoline production capacity rose by two million liters. The high quality, 94 and 95-octane gasoline places Iran among the countries being self sufficient in production of jet fuel.
