TEHRAN Jan 07 (Shana): The National Iranian Drilling Company (NIDC) has managed to complete drilling of 26 oil wells 302 days ahead of schedule during the first nine months of current Iranian calendar year, began 21 March 2013.

Deputy managing director of NIDC, Mehran Makvandi, made the remarks in an interview with Shana, adding the initiative has paved the way for stepping up implementation of boosting oil production plans.

He added programming, observing drilling standards and HSE regulations were the main factors which enabled the company to move ahead of schedule in drilling of the wells.

Makvandi noted that over the three decades since its establishment, NIDC has made great strides in the direction of implementation of NIOC and Petroleum Ministry’s policies for expanding qualitative and quantitative activities.
