Zanganeh Meets Senegalese Foreign Minister

TEHRAN Jan 19 (Shana): Foreign minister of Senegal, Mankeur Ndiaye, who is visiting Iran at the head of high ranking delegation, met with Iranian minister of petroleum, Bijan Namdar Zanganeh.

Petroleum Ministry’s public relations department reported that the meeting took place Saturday night and the two sides expressed their willingness to expanding cooperation in energy sector.

During the meeting, Zanganeh referred to the background of friendly relations between the two countries expressing hope energy ties of the two countries to rise in near future.

Zanganeh further said Iran’s public and private sectors were ready to boost long term cooperation with Senegal in energy sector including oil products trade and processing Iran’s crude oil by Senegal’s oil refineries.  

Iran can be a good supplier of oil products to Senegal and the neighboring countries, Zanganeh said.

In his turn, Senegalese foreign minister expressed readiness of his country for taking advantage of Iran’s experiences in issues like building oil refineries and natural gas storage facilities.
