Yadavaran Oil Output Hitting 50 Thousand b/d

TEHRAN Jan 20 (Shana): Yadavaran oil field’s output will rise to 50 thousand barrels per day in late March 2014.

Managing director of Petroleum Engineering and Development Company (PEDEC), Alireza Hajihossainnejad made the remarks on the sidelines of Petroleum Minister’s visit to the oil field adding the oil field’s output stands at 20 thousand barrels per day now.
 
By drilling 13 wells, Yadavaran oil production will hit 50 thousand barrels per day, PEDEC’s chief told Shana.
 
According to Hajihossainnejad, total oil production from the field will reach 85 and 180 thousand barrels per day at the end of phase 1 and phase 2 of the project.  
 
Citing to the President and Minister of Petroleum emphasize on stepping up development of shared oil fields, the official said that PEDEC will concentrate its activities on development of oil fields located West Karoun region including North and South Azadegan, South and North Yaran, and Yadavaran oil fields.
 
Shared with Iraq, Yadavaran oil field is located 70 km southwest Ahvaz city. The oil field was discovered in 1999.
