Iran Swaps 1,680 mw of Electricity with Neighbors

TEHRAN April 16 (Shana)--Iran exchanged 1,680 megawatts of electricity with neighboring countries on Tuesday, the Ministry of Energy reported.

According to the ministry’s report, Iran exported 1,308 megawatts of electricity to Afghanistan, Iraq, Pakistan, Armenia and Turkey in return for importing 372 megawatts from Armenia and Turkmenistan.

Iran’s electricity exchange balance reached plus 936 megawatts.

Iran exchanges electricity with Armenia, Pakistan, Turkmenistan, Turkey, Azerbaijan, Iraq and Afghanistan.
