“The Islamic Republic of Iran is a stable and reliable partner for all countries in the Persian Gulf,” Mohammad Javad Zarif told the second session of Iran-UAE Joint Economic Committee.

He said the administration of President Hassan Rouhani favors relations based on brotherhood, dialogue and constructive interaction with the UAE.

Zarif said such meetings between the two countries give the chance to private and state-run sectors from both countries to interact.

He said that Iran wants to boost its volume of trade exchanges with the United Arab Emirates.  

Zarif also said that Iran’s nuclear program will not be against any neighboring country.

“I assure all neighbors, partners and regional friends of Iran that the scientific and technological achievements of the Islamic Republic of Iran as well as trans-regional achievements and agreements of Iran will be in line with the long-term interests of the entire region and the neighbors of the Islamic Republic of Iran,” he said.
