The super-heavy offshore structure, which is the last platform of the phase, was loaded at the shipyard of the Iran Ship Building and Offshore Industries Complex Co. (ISOICO) this Friday, to head towards the offshore Phase 16 of the giant gas field 115 km off the coast in Bandarabbas, south of Iran.
Gas recovered from 12 wells of the platform will be transferred to the onshore facilities in Assaluyeh through underwater pipelines.
All stages of designing, constructing and installing the platform were supervised by Iranian experts.
Construction work of the platform began in 2006 by ISOICO.
