Turbocompressors to Be Installed in South Pars

TEHRAN April 19 (Shana)--MAPNA power plant management company is to install four turbocompressors in Phase 19 of the giant offshore South Pars gas field, MAPNA chief said.

Abbas Ali-Abadi said the turbocompressors will be installed in the field, which Iran shares with Qatar, in the first half of the current calendar year which started on March 21.

He said all turbocompressors for phases 22 to 24 of South Pars gas field will be installed this year.

Ali-Abadi also said boilers in phases 20 and 21 are also expected to be delivered on schedule.

The gas refinery of Phase 19 of South Pars processes 57 million cubic meters a day of sour gas received from offshore installations.

Development of Phase 19 was awarded by Pars Oil and Gas Company (POGC) in June 2020 to a consortium of Petropars Limited, Petropars Iran and Iran Offshore Engineering and Construction (IOEC).
