It said the bonds would be issued in order to finance water supply, water desalination, water and wastewater treatment and power plant projects. The Petroenergy news network SHANA reported on Sunday.

The bonds will be issued by an operating bank after the Central Bank of Iran (CBI) confirms that projects are economical.

The CBI can oblige the operating bank to print bonds in rials or Islamic sukuk bonds.

The lock-up period of the bonds will be in line with the national budget law.
