No Obstacle to Iran Petchems

TEHRAN April 23 (Shana)--Obstacles to petrochemical exports have been removed, the secretary of Petrochemical Industries Association said.

Ahmad Mahdavi said sanctions slapped on the petrochemical sector have been lifted and petrochemical exports are under way.

Hossein Shahryari, director for planning and development of National Petrochemical Company, said recently that Iran is expected to earn 12 billion dollars from petrochemical exports in the current calendar year to March 2015.

Deputy head of NPC, Mohammad-Hassan Peyvandi, has also said that petrochemicals are the second source of revenue for Iran after crude oil.

China, India, Southeast Asia and Far East are the main buyers of Iran’s petrochemical products.
