Zanganeh Orders Caspian Oil Site Construction

TEHRAN June 2 (Shana)--Petroleum Minister Bijan Namdar Zanganeh has ordered the construction of Caspian Sea oil site project, an MP said.

Mohammad-Mehdi Rahbari said the project was supposed to start three years ago, but no construction operations were conducted.
Caspian Sea is rich in oil and gas. Five littoral states of the Caspian Sea – Iran, Russia, Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan and Turkmenistan – have been vying for oil and gas discovery in the land-locked Sea.
Iran has already made big gas finds in the Caspian Sea.
